Heating and Humidity
Set thermostat for heat and for the desired temperature.
Turn on humidifier and set humidistat. The highest setting you should use is between 40%-45%. Lower the setting as the outside temperature drops.
Note: Too much moisture will cause condensation to form on windows and the humidistat has to be adjusted accordingly. There are new humidity controls available that automatically adjust according to the weather. The humidifier should be serviced and a new humidifier pad installed at the same time the furnace is serviced.
